Bloggerstock

Bloggerstock is a monthly blog-ring blog swap event.  Each month we pick a topic and bloggers can sign up to participate.  Everyone writes a post on the topic and then we create a swap list where each blogger posts on the next person's blog, forming a ring.  it is a way to meet other bloggers and expose yourself to new audiences.

We at Bloggerstock want to provide you with a fun blogging experience.  We started this site and the whole concept because we thought it would be fun.  As everyone knows, websites are not free.  We do our best to minimize costs, but for the most part keeping the site up and running is a personal expense for those who run it.  We are happy to continue to do that for you, but if you can help us out in any way it is appreciated.

You are by no means obligated to make a donation, and you can donate as much or as little as you like.

All donations go to keeping the site up and running and to promoting Bloggerstock.  None of the money that comes in through donations goes into our pockets nor is it used to pay staff.  We do this because we love it and we want to, we are not out to make a profit.

If you choose to donate, we appreciate it, if not, we understand.  All things being said, we just hope that you enjoy Bloggerstock.

Actually, we would love to have other people to help keep Bloggerstock organized and going.  We haven't completely figured out how to delegate jobs and such, but having help would be a good thing.  Just tweet at us @bloggerstock or send us an email.

Topics come from whatever we can think up.  We also would love to hear your suggestions for future topics.  You can submit suggestions at the bottom of any page of the site.

To sign up for Bloggerstock you will find a form at the bottom of all of the pages of this site.  Just fill that out and you are all set.

If you would like to get off the list for the current month just tweet to us @bloggerstock or send us an email.

Around the 15th of the month we will close sign ups and randomize the list.  At that point we will send out an email with the list as well as post it here on the site.

Post day is always the last day of the month.

Posts are due 24 hours prior to the post day.  You should email your post to your swap partner (the next person on the swap list).

You should receive your guest post 24 hours before the post day.  Post day is the last day of the month.  You should have the post live on your site by 8PM in your local timezone.  We understand if things get in the way, so if you can't post by 8PM, then as soon as you can.

If you don't hear from the person who is supposed to guest post for you then you should contact us either via twitter (@bloggerstock) or via email.  If we can't contact your partner we will assign you a new one to keep the ring together.

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way, it is not a big deal. If you find that you can't write your post for some reason that is OK.  Just let us know and we will make sure that your partners get new partners so that they are not left out in the cold.

There is not a standard format.  You should include an introduction for your guest and a link to their blog.  Most people also like to include a link to the blog where they are guest posting.  Of course you should also include your guest's post!

At a minimum you should include a link to your guest's blog and to the blog where you are posting.  If you want to include a link back to the Bloggerstock site you may, but it is not required.

Your post can be as long or short as you like.  Just make sure that it represents you.

Yup!  We have a collection of badges and banners that you are welcome to include in your post.  You can also put them in your sidebar to show your readers that you participate in Bloggerstock.  You can grab them here.
